Mitali, I was tickled pink to hear this news. I'll be writing the foreword for the Carney's House Party/Winona's Pony Cart reissue. My girls screamed so loud at this news you could probably hear it in Boston. :)

What wonderful news! Emily of Deep Valley is one of my favorite Lovelace titles, despite (or maybe because of) it being a bit "darker" than the sunnier Betsy Ray books. Maybe because I think of Emily as a late bloomer, and she gives hope to all of us late bloomers that it's never too late to "muster one's wits" when faced with a challenge! That's fantastic, congratulations! It is a book which is totally new to me--I am only familiar with the Betsy-Tacy-Tibb books, so I look forward to reading it. And knowing now that you have this connection to the book makes it all the more appealing :)
