My Bollywoodish Book Cover

HarperCollins India is releasing my First Daughter books next month, beginning with the first, and editor Pradipta Sarkar sent me the new cover. Here's the India version, followed by the American original. What do you guys think?

Wait - what? When did Sparrow turn into Carrie Bradshaw?

LOL @ EM!

I think both covers are cute. Althoug the Booywoodish cover is not how I pcitured Sparrow (the U.S. cover fits better). And this is minor, but the Bollywood cover girl looks tall. Sparrow is short right?

But so cool that you're being published in India!!

Ummm, hate to mention it, but why is she so white?

I like the second one best. I haven't read the books yet so don't know the characters description but the girl on that cover is cute. We need more brown faces on covers.

Sherry, she isn't white - she's the same skin tone that an average not-particularly-dark-complexioned Pakistani/Indian girl is, which is... not really brown.
