I'm hoping to compile a list of a dozen or so children's books that celebrate a daughter's relationship with her Dad. I'm looking for fiction picture books as well as novels. Any suggestions?

It's not specifically about father/daughters but Guess How Much I Love You is a great father (from one word in the book) /child book. Its also my favorite picture book. :) "I love you to the moon and back" :D Whats not to like? Good luck tho, I think there is a shortage of father/daughter books compared to mother/daughter or mother/son or father/son or even grandparents/child books. Perhaps you can take care of that shortage (hint, hint, hint) Oh, wait there was a movie awhile ago with Pierce Brosnan that was based (I believe) on a book - most movies are now. Can't remember the name now. But it was a grownup movie/book.
I love Don't Let Go! by Jeanne Willis. It's about a father teaching his daughter to ride a bike, with a definite tinge of sadness about watching her grow up and ride away. Lovely.

Mitali,
Here are two books that come immediately to my mind:
Beverly Cleary's RAMONA AND HER FATHER and Joanne Ryder's picture book MY FATHER'S HANDS.
Classics:
Father Bear Comes Home by Else Holmelund Minarik
Bedtime for Frances by Russell Hoban
The Summer Night by Charlotte Zolotow
Owl Moon by Jane Yolen
I guess Father Bear isn't really a father/daughter book, is it?
