A HUGE thanks to the D.C. Public Library for hosting my First Daughter: Extreme American Makeover book launch party last Saturday during the ALA Convention, and to all the friends who came and danced and showed me the love. We missed those of you who couldn't make it. A few first photos (YouTube video coming soon):
The bhangra lesson:
Yun-hee reads my book for the camera: Name that blogger: Name the blogger who owns the purse:
Mitali: So nice to meet you. I thought your book launch was fabulous. The trivia was fun, and the food was yummy, and you were so warm and personable and right at home hosting the party.
But I'm so glad there is only my right arm in the photograph of the dancing. I hope I don't appear on YouTube. :)
yes, yes, name that blogger if you were there, or if you were one ... and mother reader, not only was it great to meet you, but I was completely distracted by your pink stiletto purse at the brewery. I was SO nervous about that party, but thanks to all of you, I actually had a great time myself.
Mitali, it was so nice to meet you! I had so much fun at your book launch/bhangra dancing. Now I really want to find the bhangra workout video my friend has. And, thanks again for the book, I'm looking forward to reading it.
I'm the one in the brown shirt! You can also see me in the bhangra pictures. I went home and showed off my mad new moves to my friends, who all laughed hysterically.

Is it fair to name that blogger if we were there and met them?
If I am the blogger do I get to name myself? ;) Lots and lots of fun Mitali! And such tasty mango lassi. Is there a recipe for those?
I can name a blogger who WANTS the purse...
Looks like you thew a fabulous party, Mitali. I anxiously await the YouTube video.
Oh, I hope there isn't a video. Or if, so, that only my arm is represented. Really, that would be best for everyone concerned.
So glad to meet you in person at last, Mitali. Thanks for the fun party.
